Email verification is the process of checking an email address to ensure it’s authentic and connected to the right person.
Why do I need to verify my email?
Family Tools uses email addresses as unique identifiers to establish accounts. When a new user verifies their email address, the user is ensuring the email address is authentic and accurate. This can prove valuable later if the user loses their password.
Do you sell email addresses to third parties?
We are not in the business of selling email addresses or any other user data to third parties. We collect as little data as possible from our users and do all we can to protect their privacy.
I am not getting the verification email. What should I do?
Try these ideas:
- Check your spam or junk email folder–automatic emails are often flagged as spam. If you find the verification email here, mark it as “not spam” so that future Family Tools emails will go to the inbox. If you can’t find a spam folder, it may just be hidden.
- Try sending the verification email again. Go to Settings, then General tab. Under your email address, select Resend Verification Email.
- Contact us using the email address that isn’t receiving the verification email. If you still aren’t getting the verification email, we can go through the process of verifying the email manually with you.
